Conferences on Contemporary Philosophy in East Asia (CCPEA)

CCPEA aims to provide philosophers in East Asia opportunities to discuss on their current works, to facilitate corroborations among them and finally to establish a philosophical community in the region. It also opens its door to all scholars, within and without the region, who would like to engage in ongoing philosophical developments in East Asia.

The main topics of CCPEA include logic, metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, ethics, political philosophy, aesthetics, philosophy of religion, Asian philosophy, European philosophy, comparative philosophy, history of philosophy in contemporary perspective. Thought putting emphasis on analytic approaches to those topics, CCPEA also welcomes continental and other approaches.

The first CCPEA was held at Academia Sinica in Taipei in September 2012, the second one at Kyoto University in August 2014, and the third one at Seoul National University in August 2016. The fourth one will be held in Taiwan in 2018.
